Who Runs SuweldoTools
SuweldoTools (suweldotools.com) is built and maintained by an independent group of Filipino software engineers, financial analysts, and payroll enthusiasts based in the Philippines. We are passionate about workplace literacy, compensation transparency, and building high-speed, ad-light software that solves real day-to-day problems for our fellow Filipino workers.
Why This Project Exists
Navigating Philippine compensation is often frustrating. Between salary deductions, monthly salary credits, premium rate tiers, and withholding taxes under Republic Act No. 10963 (TRAIN Law), determining your exact take-home pay (sahod) shouldn't require complex spreadsheet templates or outdated payroll calculators full of intrusive popups.
We created SuweldoTools to give job applicants evaluating job offers, newly hired employees, HR personnel, and freelancers an instantaneous, privacy-respecting way to understand their net pay. Our calculators operate entirely on client-side code, meaning your private salary numbers never get uploaded, saved, or shared across any server.
How We Verify and Audit Statutory Rates
Statutory contribution rules in the Philippines do not remain static. We actively monitor and verify all rate schedules and deduction tables against newly released circulars and official publications issued by the four primary statutory governing bodies:
- Social Security System (SSS): Monthly Salary Credit (MSC) schedules, mandatory provident fund thresholds, and employee-employer counterpart ratios under Republic Act No. 11199.
- Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth): Universal Health Care Act (RA 11223) premium sharing, salary floor (₱10,000), and ceiling (₱100,000) tables.
- Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund): Mandatory savings benchmarks and maximum fund salary parameters under HDMF Circular No. 460.
- Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR): Revised withholding tax tables and annual income exemption ceilings under the TRAIN Law (RA 10963) and minimum wage exemption under RA 9504.
Every formula is tested against real-world sample payroll calculations to maintain mathematical consistency across all salary brackets.
